Bad Piggies flips the Angry Birds formula on its head — this time you play as the pigs! Instead of launching birds, you build vehicles and contraptions from a collection of spare parts: wooden crates, wheels, engines, fans, umbrellas, and more. The goal is to get your pig from start to finish in one piece.
Each level provides a grid where you place your parts, then press go and watch your creation attempt the course. The physics engine is wonderfully realistic, meaning your vehicle needs to be structurally sound as well as functional. Poorly balanced builds tip over, overloaded engines explode, and top-heavy designs crash spectacularly.
Star objectives add replay value — beyond simply finishing, you can aim for speed records, collecting star boxes along the route, and completing levels without using certain parts. These challenges encourage creative and unconventional vehicle designs.
The joy of Bad Piggies is in the experimentation. There is rarely one correct solution — instead, you are free to build whatever wild contraption you can imagine and see if it works. The most improbable-looking vehicles often produce the most entertaining results.
How to Play Bad Piggies
Place parts on the building grid by clicking and dragging. Wheels go on the bottom, engines provide propulsion, and your pig must be included somewhere in the build. Press the play button to test your vehicle on the course.
If your vehicle fails, return to the build screen and adjust. Try different part combinations, change the layout, or add structural support. Collect all three stars on each level for the ultimate challenge.
Lighter builds often work better than complex ones. Resist the urge to use every available part — sometimes a simple cart with two wheels and an engine outperforms an elaborate flying machine. Start simple and only add complexity if the level demands it.
Use the sandbox mode to experiment freely with different part combinations before tackling the trickier campaign levels. Understanding how each component interacts with the physics engine — how fans create lift, how engines distribute weight, how umbrellas catch air — gives you a massive advantage in later puzzles.
